Case of the Mondays #30: Twin Lakes
Ah, it's another Monday. The dreaded start of another week. Work has you down? The email inbox has exploded over the weekend? The to-do list is growing faster than you can cross things out? The weather is getting colder? Or not getting colder fast enough if you are down south? Fret not! Another installment of Case of the Mondays is here to help you deal with it. Or at least distract your mind from all that as you scroll through and enjoy a big panoramic image of an awesome place. Just click on the image below to open up the full version (give it some time to load) and use your arrow keys to move around and see all the details. Then click anywhere or hit Esc to close it. That's it for Dos and Don'ts. Now pop open the full panorama and pan around!
From the Mediterranean coast last week, today I am taking you half-way around the world to the great Rocky Mountains of Wyoming and Montana and the deep blue colors of Twin Lake.
I shot this as we entered Wyoming, just south of Montana border. Even though it was the end of June, there was still quite a bit of snow around, adding more contrast to an amazing color gamut already - from deep blue lake waters to colorful mountains, fresh green grass, and blue skies. In fact, I later learned that this route to the north east entrance of Yellowstone National Park was opened to cars just two weeks before. For the majority of the year the wintry conditions at the Dead Indian Pass make car travel all but impossible.
If you do end up going to Yellowstone at some point, driving this pass is a must in my mind. Now get back to work. Or check out the rest of Case of the Mondays series. It really is up to you :)
