Case of the Mondays #1: Bacuit Archipelago

Untitled-8-2-5.jpg

So it is Monday, once again. The dreaded start of another week.

Work has you down? The email inbox has exploded over the weekend? The to-do list is growing faster than you can cross things out? The weather is getting colder?

Fear not!

Today I am debuting one of the changes I have hinted about recently. In particular, a picker-upper of sorts for all of us out there with the "case of the Mondays"!

Believe it or not, even I, without a 9-to-5 job, have to deal with a case of the Mondays (or Tuesdays, or Wednesdays, or... you get the idea).

Today, while procrastinating with a blog post for the most scenic hike that had me fear for my life, I decided to finally stitch together some panoramic shots from my trip and they turned out freaking awesome!

So instead of trying to fit them into the mere 700 pixels (the size of images in my recent blog posts), I decided to publish a much bigger version of them, one every Monday from now on.

Just click on the thumbnail image below and once it loads (you might see a gray square while it is loading), you can hit the expand button in the right hand corner and enjoy the view!

Once you expand the image, you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to scroll and hit the same button again to shrink it back (or close it).

So forget about those emails, that document you are reviewing, or those noisy co-workers in the cube next to you and enjoy the view for a bit!

Bacuit Archipelago, near El Nido, Philippines

Nice view, eh?

I shot that during an island hopping boat "tour" in El Nido - the "must do" activity in the little fishing village at the northern end of Palawan island in the Philippines. The town is tiny and is hard to get to, so unlike the islands in southern Thailand or other places in Philippines, there are very few people around and many places we went to had no other people in sight (and there were only six of us on our boat, including two Filipino drivers).

So what do you think? Did that help with YOUR case of the Mondays? Leave a quick comment below and let me know what you think of that amazing view :) Also, let me know if you experienced any issues loading the full size image.

And stay tuned for more next Monday!
