The bus terminal in Mae Hong Son is located south of town, to much liking of tuk-tuk drivers. The fact is it is only about 10-15 minute walk back to town. There is a guesthouse on the right side of the 1095 road just before it splits to go into town. Other guesthouses are situated around the lake in town.
